The story of Afghanwear

My name is Wais Pirzad and I am an entrepreneur in the Netherlands. I like to entrepreneur because entrepreneurship gives me the opportunity to express my creativity. Afghanwear was also created in a spontaneous and creative way.

In the spring of 2011 I was online searching for an afghan football t-shirt as a gift for my nephew's birthday. Unfortunately there was no online shop with such kind of shirts so I had to order a custom shirt. Luckily I still could make my nephew happy during his birthday with my custom made shirt as I promised him.

During his birthday family and friends asked me where I bought his shirt, because their children also wanted to have such a shirt. Suddenly when I realised that there was an interest for such shirts and knew there was no online shop with afghan branded products, I came with the idea to start Afghanwear.

This way I started building the website and the shop. Besides building the website and the shop, I slowly added unique products in the shop that Afghans could use to represent their personality, hobbies or themselves. I didn't focused only in creating products for children but also for teenagers and adults, both men and women. I am still adding new clothing and accessories in my shop, but my ultimate goal is to have a shop with a wide range of cool afghan branded products.
